KUMARAGURU YOUNG FACULTY FELLOWSHIP (KYFF)


Preamble :

Kumaraguru Young Faculty Fellowship – KYFF (Full time & Residential) opens avenues for aspiring post graduates passionate to get into teaching profession. Institution will provide hands-on training and facilitate building attributes necessary to become competent teaching professionals, going beyond the requirements prevailing in the academic ecosystem.

Intake, Eligibility and Duration :
Intake :

25 Fellows to be recruited in the Phase I during March / April 2023

Eligibility :

Freshers / Candidates with up to 3 years of experience with Master's Degree in Engineering / Technology / Management.

Duration :
  • Fellowship will be applicable for a maximum period of 2 years
  • Continuous assessments will be carried out throughout the program. A Performance Assessment and Review will determine the continuation of the Fellowship at the end of every semester.
  • Duration of the Fellowship will be considered as teaching experience, on confirmation.
Compensation & Benefits :

A monthly compensation of Rs.30,000/-, including subsidized living expenses, will be provided for a period of 2 years with additional benefits (PF, Group Insurance and Gratuity). On successful completion of the Fellowship, candidates will be absorbed into suitable positions.

Learning Plan :
  • Fellows are faculty in training, expected to learn and earn during the Fellowship.Kumaraguru Learning and Development Academy (KLDA) will spearhead Training Development Plans of the Fellows, workshops / full courses / capsule courses and facilitate successful completion of MOOCs and build competencies holistically
  • Fellows will be assigned to the Mentors, will guide them in Learning & Development
  • Training & Development Plan has been designed to provide on-the-job training activities such as -

    • Teaching Assistance and Observation (Theory Courses / Lab Sessions / Projects)
    • Laboratory Assignments and Maintenance
    • Grading Student Assessments and Proctoring Examinations
    • Learning Outcome attainment analysis
    • Co-leading Student Discussions / Forums
    • Monitoring Performance of Leaners and Supporting Differential Learners
    • Understanding Support Systems for Augmenting Academic Learning
    • Academic Documentation, and Audit Mandates
    • Research Activities / Supervising Laboratories
    • Visiting Industries related to the areas of interest and developing network
    • Accreditation Process Awareness and Support
    • Understanding Academic Curriculum Design & Framework
    • Academic Administration Activities
    • Undertaking special assignments
Assured Placements and Career Growth :

Candidates who successfully complete the Fellowship at the end of 2 years, will be issued a Fellowship Certificate and absorbed within Kumaraguru Institutions as Assistant Professor in the respective specialization. Fast Track option will be available for candidates who excel during the Fellowship tenure, with early confirmation of the service.
